After a career in estate agency spanning 40 years, Jeffery Brown from Atkinson Keene decided to retire. In looking for a trusted pair of hands to take the helm he chose Jones Robinson, another independent estate agent who has already successfully merged with other agents in the past few years including Peak Properties, Clive Willis and Martin Walker.

Since becoming a major sponsor for The Rosemary Appeal a few weeks ago, our Jones Robinson task force has enjoyed an exciting time of planning and organising a number of fundraising events, the first of which is happening on Friday April 7th. From noon, we will be holding a static cycle challenge in our office, where we aim to cycle 650km (approx. 404 miles) in 24 hours! Most of our staff will be getting involved by taking turns throughout the day and night to ride shifts on the bike.

The South East seems to have quickly recovered from the Brexit slow-down and prices have quickly risen after a 2 month slump. We’ve seen a large increase in the number of properties coming to market in September and the first few weeks in October as the UK gets over the shock of Brexit and realises it’s still business as usual. Rightmove reported an 8% increase in website visits in September when compared with the same period in 2016 reinforcing the fact that property prices are still up, the market is still booming, and Brexit has yet to have any lasting negative effect on the potential return on property investments.
