Pedal power in our office – cycling to raise funds for The Rosemary Appeal
Since becoming a major sponsor for The Rosemary Appeal a few weeks ago, our Jones Robinson task force has enjoyed an exciting time of planning and organising a number of fundraising events, the first of which is happening on Friday April 7th. From noon, we will be holding a static cycle challenge in our office, where we aim to cycle 650km (approx. 404 miles) in 24 hours! Most of our staff will be getting involved by taking turns throughout the day and night to ride shifts on the bike.
We’ll also be holding a cake sale on the day to maximise our fundraising, with several staff members – including professional baker Vintage Butterfly – making delicious treats for you to buy and devour/gift/give to our cyclists/squirrel away for later.
So come along to support our staff in this huge task and enjoy some baked goods. At the time of publishing, we are thrilled to announce that we have exceeded our target to raise £1,500 with a current amount standing at £2,300! If you would like to make a donation and help us smash that target even further out of the window, please visit our JustGiving site here
Look out for us in future in our other fundraising efforts to support this excellent cause, which will include a stall on Lambourn Open Day on Good Friday (April 14th), collection points in town in May, and a chance to put your green Waitrose token towards this cause in their Community Matters boxes later this year. There will also be a chance for local businesses to get involved with a corporate rounders tournament, so get rallying your company’s best batters and fielders!
