There’s magic in the air… Christmas is coming!

During the most wonderful time of the year, there are plenty of festive activities to enjoy with family and friends around the country, but especially in Newbury!

Victorian Christmas Fayre

Step into Victorian Newbury on the first weekend of December! At venues across the town centre, you’ll find a whole host of market stalls, all manned by traders dressed in typical Victorian dress, alongside a host of Victorian-themed roaming performers.

There’ll be live music and entertainment throughout the days, a Victorian Carousel, and even the top man himself, Father Christmas!

The Great Christmas Carnival

A new Christmas event has arrived in the area! Dubbed a ‘one-sleigh-stop magical experience for the whole family’ on Visit Newbury, there is plenty on offer for the whole family to enjoy - ice skating, rides, markets, a flying Santa… your children won’t want to leave!

When: 27th November – 2nd January

Experience The Panto

Another great production has hit the Corn Exchange! Jack sells his cow for some magic beans, and upon planting them, a beanstalk grows… and the adventure begins! Will Jack defeat the giant?

Festival Of Light

Experience the twinkling delights of the Festival Light! Starting at Northbrook Street, the procession will travel through the town to the Market Place, where live music awaits.

As part of this spectacle, the Corn Exchange is offering Lantern making workshops in the run up to the event – as part of this workshop you will be able to bear your lantern at the event! Find out more here.
